The ECP Invitational (formerly PVA) is among the one of the most competitive Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend tournaments on the East Coast. Each year it attracts talented teams from the east coast's top volleyball clubs.  Additionally, since the ECP Invitational attracts the east coast's talented teams, it has become a popular college recruiting event.

Player Travel:

Arrival – Players should plan to arrive on Friday evening January 13, 2017.  
There will be a pre-tournament team meeting in the hotel - Time will be provided by your coach.

College Recruiting:

The East Coast Power (ECP) Invitational provides a great opportunity to be seen by college recruiters. To help college recruiters find you, you can register for University Athlete. University Athlete is a communication tool between collegiate coaches and prospective student athletes.

Spectator Wristbands:

Weekend Wristbands are $10 and day wristbands are $5 which will be available to purchase at the door of all playing facilities. Lost or forgotten bands will not be replaced for free. You will have to purchase a new wristband in order to gain entry into the event even if you supply a receipt.

Parking is FREE. Teammates and families are encouraged to CARPOOL to Competitive Edge Sports as parking can be very tight. There is on-site parking and also satellite parking. Shuttle Van Service will be running to satellite parking lots.

The Main lot at Competitive Edge Sports is down the driveway. When full, you may drop off your passengers and will then be directed to one of the satellite lots. THERE WILL BE SHUTTLE SERVICE from the secondary parking areas back to the front door of CES. The shuttle bus is YELLOW. Service will be provided back and forth for entire event.

Spectators Agreement for Entry: The ECP Invitational is a USA Volleyball sanctioned event. By entering the facility, all spectators agree to abide by the following Spectators Code of Conduct as required by USA Volleyball.  Spectators also understand that injury from flying objects incidental to the sport of volleyball may occur at this event and attend at their own risk. Be alert at all times, especially during active play. Children not participating on a team entered in the event must be under the supervision of their parents at all times. The venue is not to be considered an open play area. Open courts and free space within the facility are not designated or designed for general child-play activities and should be used for event related activities only.
Prohibited Items:  Spectators and participants are prohibited from bringing the following items into the ECP Invitational: 

  • Personal Seats and chairs
  • Coolers
  • Personal transportation devices (i.e. hoverboards, skateboards, etc.)
  • Oversized bags or luggage
  • Outside food
  • Weapons of any type
  • All tobacco products
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Loud noise makers
  • Balloons
  • Other items as determined by the staff. 

If you are asked to remove an item from the playing facility, you must do so immediately or you will be removed from the event. Please be aware that state laws for the right to carry any of the items listed above into public areas do not apply once you are admitted through the doors of the event.
